actor - teaching artist
bio
Bios are scary, huh? From LinkedIn to Tinder, you're mostly watching the text limit dwindle in despair and anxiety! Will you fit all of "you" in, or choose between that one time you went hiking and how you handled a stressful situation in the workplace? "Should I sound impressive or funny and relatable"? So much pressure....so little text space....but not that scary. What if I filled mine out like one...

Don't let my tattoos fool you- this thick-skinned, smooth talkin' señorita has a heart of gold....and a 205 lb deadlift- no belt. My friends and family would say that I'm a renaissance woman with the loudest laugh in the room, eccentric style, and the determination of a chihuahua begging for bacon strips.
I'm a first generation college graduate and actor born and raised in San Antonio, TX. I have a BFA in Acting from Santa Fe University of Art & Design and an MFA in Acting from Temple University. I have had the INCREDIBLE honor of learning from industry Hall of Famers such as Jon Jory, Amina Robinson, Shep Sobel, and Robert Benedetti.
As I've grown and found strength in physicality, I've found myself more and more drawn to movement and Chekov-based technique. Laban and Alexander technique have frequent appearances in my teachings as well.

SO I'm an actor- why do I do it? what is my plan for the future? what do i want?

I used to hate these questions. Still kinda do. But now I have something of an answer:

Imagine in this moment you receive a phone call- it's your parent calling to inform you that you are in fact adopted and your birth family wants to connect...

THAT! Right there- You just acted.

Adrenaline response informed by possibility. Living truthfully in imaginary circumstances. In ANY circumstance. As any variant.
Everyone living through your experience, processing, together. That's the endgame for me. I love it.

So...what's your favorite color?
